New framework for audit firm quality disclosures
The CAQ has issued a new framework to help audit firms of all sizes to develop and improve their transparency or audit quality reports. The CAQ consulted with a number of its member firms to develop the guidance, which is voluntary and illustrative, flexible and relates to firm-level systems.
The framework takes these key characteristics and builds them into “points of focus’ for six aspects of audit quality, as well as providing examples of firm-level audit quality indicators.
The framework can be downloaded here.
